Delhi S.I.R: 47.57 Lakh Voters Omitted; Prominent Karnataka Names Flagged For Verification

Delhi’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls has resulted in 47.57 lakh voters being omitted from the draft list, nearly 33% of the earlier electoral roll. Several residents are now discovering that their names are missing, including Pushpa from Sheikh Sarai, who says she has lived at the same address for nearly 40 years. Her family members remain on the rolls, while her name has reportedly been marked “permanently shifted.” In Karnataka, sources say prominent names including Nandan Nilekani, the Kamath family, D.K. Shivakumar’s mother, C.N.R. Rao and Shivarajkumar have also been flagged for verification. Claims can reportedly be filed until September 30.
