After exposing fake hospitals and fake doctors, India Today has now uncovered an alleged fake teachers' scam in Madhya Pradesh. So far, nine government teachers have been dismissed after an investigation found they had allegedly secured teaching jobs using forged marksheets between 2007 and 2013. FIRs have been registered against eight individuals, seven have been arrested, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The probe began after a complaint filed in November 2025. During the inquiry, the Education Department verified the documents, with the Madhya Pradesh Board and Karnataka Open University reportedly confirming that several certificates and marksheets were forged.
