From Bengaluru To Ayodhya: India Post Transports Priceless Gold-Based Ram Masterpiece

In a remarkable feat of precision logistics, the Department of Posts successfully transported a priceless Thanjavur painting of the divine Shri Ram from Bengaluru to Ayodhya using its Logistics Post service. The sacred artwork, created in the traditional Thanjavur style, features a gold base embedded with precious and semi-precious stones, making it a cultural artefact of exceptional heritage value. Measuring 12 by 8 feet and weighing nearly 800 kilograms, the painting was securely packed and escorted under constant supervision across a 1,900-kilometre journey. Delivered safely to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the mission highlights India Post’s growing capability in handling specialised, high-value consignments while preserving national heritage.
