Gold and silver prices are facing selling pressure despite strong buying interest in gold ETFs. From a short-term perspective, gold may see further downside before stabilising. Aditya Agarwal, Head of Investment at Coheron Wealth, expects international gold prices to test $3,900–$3,950 per ounce, while domestic prices could decline towards ₹1.40–₹1.41 lakh. He does not expect a sharp V-shaped recovery and sees potential profit-booking opportunities on price rebounds. Silver also remains under pressure, with a break below key support potentially dragging international prices towards $47–$48 per ounce and domestic prices towards ₹1.80–₹1.85 lakh.
