Gurugram, Delhi Drown After Hours Of Rain | Roads Flooded, Children Stranded

A few hours of rain brought Gurugram, the Millennium City, to a standstill. Roads disappeared under water, vehicles were stranded and traffic collapsed. Among the most disturbing scenes were schoolchildren trapped in the chaos. A school van carrying nursery students got stuck near Sheetla Mata Mandir, forcing children to be evacuated as parents struggled through the floodwater to reach them. Delhi faced a similar situation the next day, with severe waterlogging disrupting normal life. When one hour of rain can turn school routes into danger zones and bring two major urban centres to their knees, the question is no longer about monsoon inconvenience. It is about infrastructure, preparedness and the neglect we have learned to normalise.
