“Hero Of The Entire World”: Netanyahu Hails Captain Smit After Flydubai Cockpit Attack

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Indian Captain Smit Machchhar, praising him as a “hero of the entire world” for foiling an alleged attempt to crash an Israel-bound flydubai flight. Currently undergoing treatment in a UAE hospital, Captain Smit spoke to Netanyahu about the terrifying moments inside the cockpit and revealed new details about the incident. He said the flight had begun normally while his Omani co-pilot was praying, before he suddenly felt a heavy blow to the back of his head. Machchhar said he initially thought the aircraft had suffered catastrophic damage, but soon realised he was being attacked by his co-pilot.
