Heavy pre-monsoon showers brought Hyderabad to a virtual standstill, inundating roads, disrupting traffic and exposing the city's drainage challenges ahead of the monsoon season. Vehicles were left stranded on waterlogged streets, while police personnel worked to clear routes and facilitate the movement of ambulances through flooded areas. Even roads surrounding the Telangana Secretariat and several flyovers witnessed severe water accumulation, causing long delays for commuters.

The intense rainfall also led to the collapse of a portion of the entrance arch of Diwan Devdi, the ancestral residence of the Salar Jung family, highlighting the broader impact of the downpour on the city's infrastructure. Tragically, two people lost their lives due to electrocution during the rains. The widespread disruption has reignited concerns over Hyderabad's preparedness for the monsoon, with residents questioning whether the city is equipped to handle heavier rainfall in the weeks ahead.
