Speaking at the Swadeshi Mela in Bharat Mandapam, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal announced a bold $1 Trillion export target for the current fiscal year, defying economic headwinds from ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia. Goyal revealed India's exports hit a record $863 Billion last year, growing by 5% across both goods and services. Calling India an "oasis" amid global instability, he stressed that high-quality production, smart packaging, and branding are vital to capturing global markets. He also detailed infrastructure reforms, including shifting ministries to modern complexes like Vanijya Bhawan and converting North and South Blocks into the world's largest museum.
