India strongly rebutted Pakistan and the OIC at the UN Human Rights Council, rejecting what it called "baseless and malicious" allegations. Speaking at the council, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Anupama Singh reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir "was, is, and will always remain" an integral part of India. She accused Pakistan of using propaganda to hide its domestic failures and support for terrorism, while also criticizing Islamabad's record in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. India further questioned the relevance of the Indus Waters Treaty in the present era, citing climate change, technological advances, and evolving realities. The sharp exchange marks the latest diplomatic face-off between New Delhi and Islamabad on the international stage.
