India’s growth outlook is strengthening as major global institutions raise their forecasts. S&P has upgraded its FY27 growth estimate by 40 basis points to 7%, while Fitch has raised its forecast by 50 basis points to 6.9%. ADB has also lifted its FY27 projection by 40 basis points to 7%. The OECD has raised its 2026 India growth forecast to 7.1% from 6.3%. Moody’s had earlier raised its FY27 forecast to 7% from 6%. Strong industrial activity, consumption, exports, public investment and technology spending are supporting the outlook. However, crude oil prices, inflation, weather risks and global uncertainties remain key concerns.
