India–Vietnam Ties Expand: Trade, Technology & Cultural Bonds Strengthened

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the deepening ties between India and Vietnam during a joint statement with President To Lam. He noted that over 15 million people in Vietnam visited Buddhist relics sent from India, showcasing strong cultural bonds. India will digitise manuscripts of the Champa civilisation to preserve shared heritage. Marking a decade of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, both nations are now elevating ties further. Bilateral trade has doubled to $16 billion, while cooperation across trade, technology, and tourism continues to expand, strengthening India’s engagement with ASEAN and the Indo-Pacific region.
