Minister Piyush Goyal On India’s Trade Deals FTA Strategy And $1 Trillion Export Target

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted India’s approach towards Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), saying every agreement is fair, balanced and designed to bring benefits for India. He explained how countries have offered commitments and policy changes, including social security benefits, investment promises and tax reforms. Goyal also spoke about India’s maritime strategy, domestic shipping growth and the government’s target of achieving $1 trillion in total exports. He said expanding exports, building ships in India and strengthening logistics infrastructure will play a key role in India’s future growth story.
