Nepal Floods: Trishuli River’s Fury Leaves Betrwati Buried Under Debris And Devastation

Nepal’s devastating floods have left parts of Betrawati facing widespread destruction, with homes, shops, roads and bridges washed away or buried under debris. India Today’s Ashutosh Mishra reports from the ground, showing the scale of the devastation along the Trishuli river. The area, once a busy market and stopover for travellers, has been transformed after the floods. As water levels gradually recede, more damage is becoming visible, while families continue to search for missing loved ones. Difficult terrain and damaged roads are making access challenging for rescuers and residents. The focus now remains on reaching isolated villages, locating survivors and assessing the full extent of the damage.
