India Today has exclusively accessed the ACB’s remand plea, which details the agency’s allegations, including an alleged ₹1.95 crore illegal payment. AAP has rejected the allegations and linked Jain’s arrest to the Punjab polls, where he is the party’s co-in-charge, while the BJP has attacked the AAP over the case. The arrest has triggered a major political faceoff, with the controversy also reviving questions around Jain’s earlier incarceration and the videos that emerged from his prison cell in 2022.
