S.I.R Row: INDIA Bloc Unites Against Election Commission, Rahul-Mamata Push Opposition Unity

Major Opposition parties came together in Delhi for a three-and-a-half-hour INDIA bloc meeting focused on the ongoing SIR row and the Election Commission. Rahul Gandhi called for a united fight, while acknowledging that INDIA bloc allies remain political rivals in several states. Mamata Banerjee pushed for a broader Opposition front beyond the INDIA bloc, with sources saying she highlighted coordination with the Left and outreach to the BJD. The Opposition has also drawn up a calendar of marches, protests and rallies over the SIR issue.
