“They Wanted To Stop Modi”: RVS Mani Claims Modi And Amit Shah Were Targeted Before 2014 Polls

Former Under Secretary, MHA, RVS Mani has claimed that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah were deliberately targeted before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Speaking in a podcast interview with ANI, Mani said Modi’s growing popularity by 2013 had made him the biggest political challenge for rival parties. He alleged that efforts were made to put Modi and Shah behind bars because Modi was seen as the strongest Hindutva leader and a likely successor to LK Advani. Mani said he had never met the leaders during that period but believed Gujarat officials may have informed them about the pressure he was facing.
