U.S., Israel And Arab Militaries Meet Privately As Iran, Houthis Raise West Asia Security Stakes

A private military meeting in Germany has brought the U.S., Israel and seven Arab countries together to discuss Iran and wider regional security concerns. Organised by US CENTCOM chief Admiral Brad Cooper, the meeting included military chiefs from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt. Reports say Cooper discussed continued US military presence in the region and plans related to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, while Israel’s military chief briefed participants on operations across multiple fronts. The meeting comes amid heightened tensions involving Iran and Houthi forces in Yemen, adding significance to growing security coordination between countries with different political relationships and interests.
