Vijay's TVK Functionary Boobalan Arrested In 135 Kg Meth Seizure, DMK Targets Anti-Drug Promise

Tamil Nadu's political landscape heats up after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrests TVK functionary Boobalan in connection with a massive 135-kg methamphetamine seizure. Another person has also been arrested in the case. TVK has expelled Boobalan, distancing itself from the controversy. DMK chief MK Stalin has mocked the party as a “Breaking Bad Party” and questioned whether a wider drug network could be uncovered. The DMK has demanded an ED and NIA probe, while AIADMK and BJP have also questioned TVK's anti-drug commitment. The case puts Vijay's promise to eradicate drugs under intense political scrutiny.
