Budget 2016: FM Arun Jaitley allocates Rs.38,500 crore for MGNREGA

The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today allocated Rs.38,500 crore for Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Presenting his third Union budget, Jaitley announced that Rs Rs.38,500 crore will be disbursed under the MGNREGA in the next fiscal.
The fund allocation for MGNREGA in the current Union budget has gone up by 11% compared to Rs.34,699 crore the in the 2015-16 budget.
