At the Business Today Infrastructure Summit 2026, IRFC CMD Manoj Kumar Dubey speaks with Business Today's Shailendra Bhatnagar about India's first bullet train project. Referring to the Railway Minister's announcement, Dubey says the first Ahmedabad–Mumbai bullet train section is expected to begin operations by August 15, 2027. Calling it a proud milestone, he recalls his earlier role in the project while serving in the Railway Board and says the upcoming launch is "just the beginning" of India's high-speed rail journey. Dubey adds that India is planning seven high-speed rail corridors to transform the country's transportation network.
