iPhone 7

No best-phone list is complete without an iPhone. ThoughApple devices have never been a good value proposition in India, they havegradually witnessed acceptance here. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are notlaunching before October 7 but are already up for pre-booking on Flipkart.

The devices are not a massive upgrade from last year in terms of looks but they are much morepowerful with the new Fusion A10 chipset and an improved set of camera,especially the iPhone 7 Plus that comes with a dual-lens camera module.

OnePlus phones are popular for their 'flagship killer'status but they did not tout the OnePlus 3 as one. Despite that, the OnePlus 3has given the likes of Samsung and LG a run for their money. Unlike the previous two generations, the OnePlus 3 flaunts ametal and glass construction which puts it in direct competition with the bestlooking devices in the industry.

The Z series will offer a semi-modular experience to itsuser. Though the pricing of the modular components can be a deal-breakerconsidering the prices in the US.

The only phone in the list that is even cheaper than theOnePlus 3. The Chinese company, Xiaomi has already unveiled the successor tothis phone but the availability and pricing has not been confirmed for theIndian market. Mi5 is one of the cheapest phones to carry a Snapdragon 820 butthe reason it features in this list is because of its refined software.

MIUI has matured well in the past one year and is creating afirm crowd of loyalists. The software coupled with a compact 5.1 inch FullHDscreen makes it a good buy. Anyone who wants to own a flagship but is tight onthe budget can comfortably opt for this device.

Xiaomi has also worked on the device's camera to make itcomparable with the best in the industry.

Google PixelThe latest entrant to the list, Google Pixel is proving to be a serious competition to the iPhone series. Not only does it have an extremely optimised software but it also boasts of top of the line hardware. It even claims to beat the iPhone in the camera segment. The device has been made available for pre-orders since October 25 and is selling in good numbers despite the presence of similar priced iPhone 7.
