CJP announces protest march from India Gate to Delhi Police HQ on Sep 5
Families of deceased NEET victims and victims of police brutality will lead the march, says the CJP

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced a youth protest in Delhi on September 5, saying the government has failed to honour commitments made on July 25.
The party will hold a peaceful march from India Gate to the Delhi Police Headquarters. Families of deceased NEET victims and victims of police brutality will lead the march, the party said, adding that students and young people from across the country will also join.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the CJP’s National Working Committee on Monday.
'Government Must Honour Its Word'
The committee said it had serious doubts about whether the government intended to honour its commitments.
"For a month now, instead of implementing what was solemnly promised, the Government has played delay games, hidden behind technicalities, and avoided giving clear commitments even before the Supreme Court of India," the CJP said.
The party said the Supreme Court on August 18 repeatedly asked the Union government to provide a list of FIRs registered across the country so that the cases could potentially be quashed together.
According to the CJP, the government did not give a clear commitment to do so. It also said a written assurance from the government to the party was still pending.
"Our patience cannot be mistaken for weakness. Our good faith cannot become an opportunity for the Government to betray us," the party said.
The CJP said nationwide youth protests had been withdrawn on July 25 after the government made promises at a joint press conference.
The party said young protesters had trusted those commitments and ended their movement in good faith.
"We have been forced to return to the streets because the Government appears determined to commit a ‘vishwasghaat’ with Gen-Z, the young generation of this country, and the families who have already lost their children," it said.
The party called on students, youth organisations, and young citizens to gather at India Gate on September 5.
"The families who lost their children will walk at the front. Victims of police brutality will walk with them. And behind them will walk a generation demanding only one thing from its Government: KEEP YOUR WORD," the statement said.
The CJP said the protest would remain peaceful and urged young Indians to join in large numbers. "If solemn commitments made to the youth of this country mean anything, the Government must honour them, in letter and in spirit," it said.
