Shares of Meesho Ltd are in focus today amid reports that Japanese technology and investment conglomerate SoftBank will sell shares worth up to Rs 1,435 crore of the online retailer in a block deal today. The bank's special purpose investment vehicle and subsidiary SVF II Meerkat DE plans to sell 7 crore shares at a floor price of Rs 205 per share, with a 3% discount to the Current Market Price (CMP).

SVF II Meerkat DE owned 8.60% stake in Meesho as a public shareholder of the company. 

The value commerce platform Meesho reported a 54 percent year-on-year (YoY) fall in its Q1 net loss to Rs 132.8 crore against a loss of Rs 289.4 crore in the same period a year ago. The company reported a loss of Rs 166.3 crore in the March 2026 quarter.  However, the firm reported revenue from operations of Rs 3,712.8 crore, up 48 percent YoY from Rs 2,503.9 crore in the year-ago period. It had reported a revenue of Rs 3,531.2 crore in the previous quarter.

Total expenses rose nearly 43 percent to Rs 3,959.2 crore in the June quarter up from Rs 2,777.6 crore a year ago and Rs 3,807.1 crore a quarter ago.

Around a week ago, CLSA (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia) initiated coverage on Meesho with an Underperform rating and a target price of Rs 150, implying around 28% downside from the stock's price of Rs 207 as of August 27.
