Trump as mediator?
US President Donald Trump, known for his blundering statements, took social media by storm when he claimed that Prime Minister Modi asked him to mediate on Kashmir when they met in Osaka, Japan. This was on the sidelines of the G20 Summit last month. The US president offered to be the "mediator" between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue as he met Prime Minister Imran Khan at the White House. India has strongly denied any such request by PM Modi .In a statement to Parliament, the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar refuted that Prime Minister Modi ever made that request.

Amazon CEO and world's richest man Jeff Bezos and his wife novelist Mackenzie announced their divorce earlier this year. US President Donald Trump, who is not a fan of Bezos, wished Bezos luck while calling it a 'beauty'.

Trump takes credit for Hafiz Saeed's arrest
The US President was slammed for his remark over the arrest of the Mumbai terror attack mastermind, Hafiz Saeed. Trump said that great pressure was exerted by the US over last two years to find the Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) chief and that he was arrested after a '10 year search'. Saeed was actually roaming free and in public eye.
The US House Foreign Affairs Committee made a counter statement on twitter, suggesting Trump to hold the applause till the JuD chief is convicted.

Trump's remark on African countries
Trump triggered international outrage when he referred to Haiti and African countries as 'sh**hole countries' in January 2018. The president expressed his frustration over the efforts of few lawmakers who were protecting immigrants from the former countries.
However, he later denied using the derogatory remarks. His comments were later slammed by Democratic lawmakers and termed as hate-filled, vile and racist.

When the President went blank
Donald Trump appeared blank when he was asked for help by a Rohingya refugee. The refugee had asked for the betterment of the Rohingya community. The president was stumped as he did not know the whereabouts of the Myanmar. He was then told by one of his advisors that it lay next to Bangladesh.He was also unaware about the work of Nobel Prize winner, Nadia Murad and went on to question the authenticity of her work.

The Queen of England and Donald Trump
Donald Trump did not hold himself back from creating another controversy during his visit to UK. The president allegedly broke several protocols while meeting the queen of England. Trump and his wife, Melania, arrived late at Windsor Castle by 15 minutes. The couple made the 92-year old queen wait in the scotching heat.
Trump chose to shake hands with the monarch, instead of bowing to the queen. A bow is part of etiquette extended to the members of the royal family.
Not just that, he was also seen striding ahead of the queen during the guard of honour, which was considered disrespectful.

The president created another stir when he called his former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, a dog. The clash came about as a result of the public release of her recordings of her term in the White House during the promotion of her book, Unhinged. Trump was later slammed for his racial and sexist remarks by critics.

Trump labeled the EU a "foe" of the US
The US president called EU a 'foe' of the US during his visit to UK in July 2018. This remark did not go down well with the foreign minister of Germany, Heiko Maas, and prompted him to come out with a reply.Maas expressed his anger to the media stating that they could no longer completely rely on the White House and suggested that Europe should not be bothered with such verbal and written attacks.

The belief of Putin's words over US Intelligence Community.
Donald Trump sided with Vladimir Putin during his Finland's visit in 2018 stating the interaction as productive. The remarks came after the special counsel Robert Mueller alleged 12 Russian intelligence officers with the hacking charges during the 2016 election. The one sided take of the president stood important as it was the first time when Mueller attacked the Russian government.
The controversy turned to next level when Trump said that he believed Putin more than the US intelligence community and blamed FBI to be a part of the election controversy.
