Donald Trump's awkward blunders which social media can't forget

US President Donald Trump, known for his blundering statements, took social media by storm when he claimed that Prime Minister Modi asked him to mediate on Kashmir when they met in Osaka, Japan. This was on the sidelines of the G20 Summit last month. The US president offered to be the "mediator" between India and Pakistan on the Kashmir issue as he met Prime Minister Imran Khan at the White House. India has strongly denied any such request by PM Modi .In a statement to Parliament, the External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar refuted that Prime Minister Modi ever made that request.

Amazon CEO and world's richest man Jeff Bezos and his wife novelist Mackenzie announced their divorce earlier this year. US President Donald Trump, who is not a fan of Bezos, wished Bezos luck while calling it a 'beauty'.

The US House Foreign Affairs Committee made a counter statement on twitter, suggesting Trump to hold the applause till the JuD chief is convicted.

However, he later denied using the derogatory remarks. His comments were later slammed by Democratic lawmakers and termed as hate-filled, vile and racist.

Donald Trump appeared blank when he was asked for help by a Rohingya refugee. The refugee had asked for  the betterment of the Rohingya community. The president was stumped as he did not know the whereabouts of the Myanmar. He was then told by one of his advisors that it lay next to Bangladesh.He was also unaware about the work of Nobel Prize winner, Nadia Murad and went on to question the authenticity of her work. 

Not just that, he was also seen striding ahead of the queen during the guard of honour, which was considered disrespectful.

The president created another stir when he called his former White House aide, Omarosa Manigault Newman, a dog. The clash came about  as a result of the public release of her recordings of her term in the White House during the promotion of her book, Unhinged. Trump was later slammed for his racial and sexist remarks by critics.

The US president called EU a 'foe' of the US during his visit to UK in July 2018. This remark did not go down well with the foreign minister of Germany, Heiko Maas, and prompted him to come out with a reply.Maas expressed his anger to the media stating that they could no longer completely rely on the White House and suggested that Europe should not be bothered with such verbal and written attacks.

The controversy turned to next level when Trump said that he believed Putin more than the US intelligence community and blamed FBI to be a part of the election controversy.
