Apple has officially entered the foldable era with the debut of the iPhone Duo, alongside major camera and silicon overhauls for the iPhone 18 Pro series. In this on-ground edition of Tech Today straight from Apple Park in Cupertino, Cyrus brings you hands-on impressions of Apple’s newest hardware, the latest wearables, and an exclusive chat with music icon AP Dhillon.
Apple's first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, features a 5.4-inch outer display that unfolds into a seamless 7.6-inch canvas. Powered by the 2nm A20 Pro chip, it introduces desktop-style multitasking in iOS, full Apple Pencil support, up to 2TB storage, and a premium $1,999 starting price tag.
Beneath the familiar exterior, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max introduce substantial internal transformations. The 48MP main camera now features a physical variable aperture shifting from f/1.48 to f/4, flanked by upgraded 48MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto sensors. It runs on the cutting-edge A20 Pro processor with an expanded vapor chamber cooling setup, offering up to 30 hours of battery life on the Pro Max, faster 15-minute half-charges, and Apple's new N1 Wi-Fi 7 chip.
Apple also expanded its wearable lineup with the Watch Series 12, Ultra 4, and AirPods 5. The S11-powered watches measure vitals every five seconds, introduce Audio Intelligence tools like Live Rewind, and deliver up to 45 hours of outdoor tracking on the rugged titanium Ultra 4. Meanwhile, the redesigned AirPods 5 bring Active Noise Cancellation to an open-ear fit, complete with real-time Live Translation and hands-free head gestures for Siri.
Is Apple's $1,999 foldable iPhone Duo worth the price? Does the iPhone 18 Pro's variable aperture camera justify an upgrade? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
