Motorola had launched the Moto G 3rd generation in India in August this year. The company has now launched an enhanced version of the same smartphone, the Moto G Turbo Edition for Rs 14,499. (Text: Nidhi Singal)

The Moto G Turbo Edition runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa-core processor with 2GB RAM. While it has got 2470mAh battery, it now includes a TurboPower charger, which adds 6 hours of juice to the battery in just 15 minutes of charging. Even the Turbo Edition is IP67 certified which makes it dust and water resistant. It has got 13 MP rear camera with video stabilization and runs on stock Android operating system. It features a 5inch 720p display and has got 16GB of internal storage.

Of late, there have been a lot many good options launched under Rs 15,000 which will give a tough competition to the Moto G Turbo Edition. The recently launched Micromax Canvas 5 is a neat device retailing for close to Rs 12,000. It packs in a 5.2inch display, a 1.3GHz MediaTek 64 bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 13 MP rear camera, 16GB onboard storage with support for expandable memory and a 2900 mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i has got looks and feels premium to hold. It packs in a 5inch full HD display, and Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. the 13MP camera is great at capturing images and has got a sunlight display too. Weighing 130 grams, it packs in a 3030 mAh battery and is available for Rs 11,999. While this was launched in May this year, you can also consider the Xiaomi Mi 4, which has better specifications but was launched almost an year ago.

Lenovo's recently launched Vibe S1 too manages to compete against the Moto G Turbo Edition. Priced at Rs 15,999, it has a dual selfie camera at the front and packs in a 5-inch 1080p display, 1.7GHz MediaTek's MT6752 64-bit octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 13MP rear camera and a 2420mAh battery.

Available for Rs 14,999, Asus Zenfone Selfie features a 5.5inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and a 1.7Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It packs in 2GB of RAM, 16GB onboard storage and a 13 MP front facing and rear camera. It weights 170 grams and has got 3000 mAh battery onboard.

As the mid-segment smartpone space is dominated by all these names, Samsung too had launched the Galaxy J7, which is now available for Rs 14,999. The Galaxy J7 is equipped with a 5.5-inch 720p display, Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13 MP rear camera , 5MP front facing camera and a 3000mAh battery.
