From Gadchiroli To Nashik, Fadnavis Details Maharashtra’s New Growth Hubs

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis outlined how the state is decentralising its growth engine beyond Mumbai by creating multiple industrial and innovation clusters. He said the newly launched plug-and-play innovation city near the Navi Mumbai airport will serve as a template that can be replicated across districts. Fadnavis highlighted major investments across the state—Gadchiroli emerging as a steel city, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar becoming an EV hub, Nagpur hosting India’s largest solar module capacity, Nashik evolving into a defence aviation centre, and fresh investments flowing into Chandrapur, Wardha and Nandurbar. Defending MOUs signed at Davos, he said most projects involve over 60% FDI, making the global platform critical for attracting international capital.
