Auto Expo ends with over 100 new vehicles
The Auto Expo had 65 manufacturers exhibiting products from across their globe line-up with Maruti Brezza, Toyota Prius and Hyundai Tucson attracting maximum crowds.

Curtains were drawn on the biennial Indian Auto Expo 2016 on Tuesday, with over 600,000 visitors and more than 100 new products being either launched or unveiled during the week, making it one of the largest motoring events in the Asian subcontinent.
The Auto Expo had 65 manufacturers exhibiting products from across their globe line-up with Maruti Brezza , Toyota Prius and Hyundai Tucson attracting maximum crowds.
The three million (unit sales) strong Indian passenger car industry that brought new concepts in the form of compact SUVs and crossovers for the future also showed compact sedans and alternative fuel like hybrids as the mobility solutions for urban customers.
"We believe the Auto Expo has successfully evolved from being just another exhibition of vehicles to a showcase of Indian manufacturing strength and technological capabilities. With over 108 new products being launched and unveiled and over 601,914 footfalls received over the past one week, we believe this Expo will strengthen the belief of our manufacturers in the Indian automotive industry ," SIAM Director General Vishnu Mathur said.
While the exact impact of the show would be known over the next few months leading to accelerated sales, company executives said response has been quite ecstatic. Two-wheeler maker Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India was able to sell online 600 units of its newly launched NAVI cross two-wheeler that was showcased during the Expo.
Also, Maruti Suzuki received huge response for its Brezza compact SUV that would hit the market next month and is likely to eat into the market of Ford EcoSport and become a healthy competitor for the Mahindra KUV100.
