Volkswagen launches the beastly Polo GTI at Rs 25.65 lakh
The GTI will come with a 1.8-litre TSI engine that makes 189bhp of peak power and 250Nm of peak torque.

Volkswagenhas finally introduced the GTI badge to India with the Polo. One of the hotfavorites among petrol heads across the globe, the Polo GTI, looks similar tothe average mid-sized and affordable hatchback but features a monster under thehood.

The GTIwill come with a 1.8-litre TSI engine that makes 189bhp of peak power and 250Nmof peak torque. India will get a single gearbox with a 7-speed DSG with the newPolo. There are small design cues that differentiate it from its plebian GT variants.A new set of LED headlamps, a new honeycomb GTI grille with red accents and adifferent set of bumpers is what the new GTI will get. The GTI will also get anintegrated spoiler, 17-inch wheels and a dual tip exhaust setup. Inside thecabin, the car will feature a different racer-like, flat-bottom steering wheel.
One of themain design highlights will be the 3-door design instead of the 5-door layouton the Polo GTs. The car will be produced and assembled in Germany and hencewill come with a hefty price-tag of Rs 25.65 lakhs (ex-showroom, Thane).
