Auto sales jump in June; PVs grow 119% Y-o-Y

On a sequential basis, the wholesale volumes in June 2021 grew 2.6 times for passenger vehicles. The growth was recorded at 163% on monthly basis.

 Two-wheeler sales have increased by 200% on month-on-month basis in June 2021. 

A comparison with June 2020 shows healthy growth across all segments, except three-wheelers. 

When compared with Q1-FY19, only tractors performed well, which shows that tractors demand has remained unaffected in the pandemic. 

 Commercial vehicles saw a growth of 50% on monthly basis and recorded a growth of 85% in wholesale volume on yearly basis in June 2021.
