Petroleum products consumption rises 1.5% to 163 lakh tonne in June

Consumption of petroleum products rose by 245.8 thousand tonnes, from 16,089.2 thousand tonnes in June 2020 to 16,335 thousand tonnes in June 2021.  

Consumption of petrol increased 5.59 per cent on y-o-y basis in the month of June 2021.  

Consumption of diesel in June 2021 decreased 1.51 per cent on Y-o-Y basis.

Consumption of aviation turbine fuel in June 2021 increased 16.5 % on Y-o-Y basis.  

Consumption of liquefied petroleum gas rose 10% in June 2021 on Y-o-Y basis as compared to de-growth of 5 per cent in the previous month.
