Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal Puts A Timeline To Semiconductor Exports

Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Foxconn and India’s mining major Vedanta are all set to set up a semiconductor plant in Gujarat. The project will attract electronics ecosystem players across the value chain with manufacturers of highly sophisticated and sensitive equipment, materials, and equipment service providers, and will put the state of Gujarat on the global silicon map. In a conversation with Business Today’s Managing Editor Siddharth Zarabi, Vedanta chairman Anil Agarwal confirms semiconductor exports from India within three years.
