Cabinet Approves Rabi MSP Hike: Wheat MSP Raised To ₹2,610; Safflower Gets ₹675 Boost

The Cabinet has approved higher MSPs for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2027-28 marketing season. Wheat MSP has been raised by ₹25 to ₹2,610 per quintal, while safflower gets the highest increase of ₹675 per quintal. Mustard MSP rises by ₹413 and lentil by ₹390 per quintal. The government has allocated ₹1.86 lakh crore for the Rabi MSP programme. The Cabinet has also approved PM DHARA, aimed at accelerating renewable energy access as India expands its non-fossil capacity.
