India and the United States appear to be moving closer to a landmark trade agreement, with negotiations now entering the final phase. New Delhi is seeking preferential tariff access and additional trade concessions as both sides work to conclude the first tranche of the deal by mid-July. While a few key issues remain under discussion, expectations are growing that an interim trade deal could be announced in the coming weeks.
