Nayara Energy has reduced fuel prices across its retail outlets, cutting petrol prices by ₹5 per litre and diesel prices by ₹3 per litre, with the revised rates effective from today. The move comes alongside a series of policy and pricing changes in India's energy sector. The Centre has revised the Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on fuel exports for the fortnight starting July 1, increasing the levy on petrol exports while lowering duties on diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF). Separately, state-run oil marketing companies have cut ATF prices by around ₹5 per litre for domestic airlines, while the government has also reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹183.50.
