Nifty Falls 7% In September: Crude, FII Selling & Rupee Pressure Hit Markets

Indian markets are witnessing a sharp September correction, with the Nifty falling around 7% over 22 trading sessions to levels last seen in mid-April. Higher crude oil prices, rising bond yields, heavy foreign investor selling and a weaker rupee have added pressure on equities. Dinshaw Irani, CEO, Helios Capital, joins Business Today to discuss the sharp market decline, the factors driving the sell-off and what investors should watch as September comes to an end. The discussion also looks at the outlook for the Nifty after a correction of around 2,100 points from its August high.
