NSE On India’s Capital Markets Growth | IPOs, REITs, InvITs And More

 India’s capital markets are playing an increasingly important role in funding economic growth, with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) highlighting the scale of capital mobilisation in recent years. NSE says nearly ₹53 lakh crore has been mobilised through IPOs, OFS, debt capital and other instruments over the last three years. The exchange also points to a sharp rise in investor participation and IPO activity since the pandemic, with India emerging as a leading market globally by number of IPOs. NSE says segments such as municipal bonds, REITs and InvITs remain at an early stage relative to their potential.
