Tata Sons Board Votes To Bring N Chandrasekaran Back As Chairman For 5 Years

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran is set to get a five-year extension after the Tata Sons board backed his continuation at the helm. However, Chandrasekaran will need to be reappointed as a director at the company’s Annual General Meeting to continue as chairman. The AGM has faced delays amid a lack of quorum linked to the suspension of SRTT. Meanwhile, Tata Sons’ board has also decided to take all necessary steps to pursue a public listing, in line with Reserve Bank of India requirements.
