Titan is in focus after reporting a strong second-quarter business update, with overall growth of 25% year-on-year. Jewellery, watches and eye care each recorded more than 20% growth, while domestic business rose 22% and international business surged 97%. The company also added 78 net stores, taking its total store count to 3,758. Gaurav Sharma, Associate VP & Head of Research, Globe Capital, explains why Titan shares fell over 4% despite the strong operating performance, highlighting concerns around higher GST on gold imports and its potential impact on prices ahead of the festive and wedding season. The stock reaction remains in focus.
