Why Did Microsoft Layoff 1,000 Employees?

Microsoft has laid off people across multiple divisions worldwide. Though the tech giant has not disclosed the numbers, reports say that as many as a thousand employees have been shown the exit. The report cited information from social media where a number of employees laid off by Microsoft have expressed their angst.
