About 82K Offers In PM's Internship Scheme: MCA

In an exclusive Business Today TV interview, MCA Secretary Deepti Gaur Mukherjee highlighted that the PM Internship Scheme is focused on learning rather than just numbers. The round 1 of pilot phase saw 285 companies post 1.25 lakh internships, with 6.21 lakh applications and 28,000 accepted offers. The scheme has expanded to 745 districts, making opportunities accessible beyond urban centres. With Round 2 ongoing, participation from 10th-pass and polytechnic students has increased. Mukherjee emphasized that the scheme aims to enhance employability over time, with further improvements expected in the upcoming rounds.
