“AI Needs Empathy Too”: Mukesh Ambani Calls For Compassion-Led Tech Revolution

Speaking at the book launch authored by Raghunath Mashelkar, Mukesh D Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, delivered a deeply reflective address on the role of compassion in innovation. Quoting Mashelkar, Ambani said “technology without compassion is just machinery,” stressing that empathy must guide the age of artificial intelligence. He hailed Mashelkar as a bridge between science and business, a lifelong learner and a “Gyan Yogi” inspiring young Indians. Ambani said India’s future lies in integrating universities, research and enterprise to build a deep-tech, purpose-driven nation that leads the world.
