Cyber And Space Warfare Now Borderless, Says Air Marshal Dixit As India Expands Integrated Commands

Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit explains how modern warfare is rapidly shifting into domains where borders no longer exist- cyber, space, electronic warfare and asymmetric attacks. Citing global examples from Russia to Israel, and the U.S. “Genesis” mission that fuses space, AI, hardware, software and bio-tech, he says the battles of the future will be fought in limitless, rule-free environments driven by pure ingenuity. India, he reveals, anticipated this several years ago by creating dedicated cyber and defence space agencies, and is now preparing to further expand these capabilities. Calling it a “whole-of-nation” challenge, Dixit stresses the need for integrated theatre commands and national-level coordination. India must also build a skilled workforce to understand and counter evolving threats.
