RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, speaking at FIBAC 2024, reaffirmed India's robust growth trajectory, highlighting key economic drivers gaining momentum. He emphasized that India’s progress toward becoming an advanced economy is fueled by factors like a young population, a resilient economy, and a strong tradition of entrepreneurship. Das noted that India’s economy recovered strongly from the pandemic, averaging 8.3% growth over the past three years. For the current fiscal year, the RBI projects a growth rate of 7.2%, aligning with international forecasts. Private consumption and investment, which make up over 90% of GDP, are expanding at a solid pace, reinforcing confidence in India's growth story.
