Finance Minister Meets ICAI Ahead Of Elections

Business Today Television speaks with Bengaluru chapter of the ICAI, which recently met with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on April 22nd in Bangalore's northern region. Cotha Srinivas, a member of ICAI's direct tax committee, revealed plans to submit proposals to the CBDT office in Delhi's North Block for the upcoming Union Budget 2024-2025, following the formation of the new cabinet. Srinivas noted the tax buoyancy's positive impact on the economy, supporting the BJP government's decade-old regulatory regime. However, he acknowledged the need for further efforts to fully convince taxpayers about the new regime's benefits.
