From ₹2,115 To ₹10,218, Farmers' Income Sees 5-Fold Growth: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while addressing the Lok Sabha, highlighted the significant increase in farmers' income over the years, citing the NSS report. From ₹2,115 per month in 2002-2003 to ₹10,218 in 2018-2019, farmers have seen a remarkable growth in their earnings. Although the next survey is yet to be conducted, Chouhan emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, continuous efforts are underway to further boost farmers' income. He outlined six key strategies to achieve this goal: enhancing production, reducing costs, ensuring fair prices, compensating for losses due to natural disasters, diversifying agriculture, and promoting natural farming.
