In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group addresses critics who allege that his meteoric rise is because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Prime Minister Modi has provided visionary and inspirational leadership to India. He has not only brought about significant policy changes but also directly touched the lives of every Indian through various programs and schemes. There is hardly any aspect of governance that he has not touched,” he said, adding that the Prime Minister’s equally strong focus on the social sector, agriculture economy, and underdeveloped areas of the country with a safety net for the poor has ensured that the growth is inclusive and sustainable, with schemes like Swachh Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer and Ayushman Bharat have brought about transformative changes in India.
