Govt. Calls For New Applications As India Reopens Chip Incentive Scheme

The government is again inviting applications for semiconductor and display screen fabrication units under the newly modified 'SemiconIndia' programme. The scheme opens on Thursday and the application window remains active till December 2024. Under the modified programme, companies approved will receive a fiscal incentive of 50% of the project cost to set up units in India.
