“I May Not Be A Gangster, But I Am So Much Like Rocky”: Yash At The India Today Conclave

At India Today Conclave 2022, Yash spoke about how KGF was brought to life. "Producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films and I were discussing what kind of films we wanted to make. We came together as we had big aspirations for the Kannada industry. We then met director Prashanth Neel and the story of KGF impressed me. At that time, the idea was different from what it was today. The main idea was to make a big film. We started working on the story of KGF from the initial idea. We commenced work in 2014 and all of us were involved in the film till April 2022. All of us invested nearly eight years in the film," he explained. So, is Yash similar to Rocky Bhai? "Sometimes, we take a few things from the character we play. I may not be a gangster, but I am so much like Rocky. There are so many character traits I can relate to," he said.
