Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the India–Russia Business Forum in New Delhi, announced that India is now opening private sector participation in the civil-nuclear domain — calling it not just an administrative reform but a major shift in mindset. He highlighted how recent reforms in defence and space have unlocked fresh opportunities and that India remains committed to becoming a developed nation. PM Modi also presented a roadmap to enhance India–Russia economic cooperation, focusing strongly on logistics and connectivity. He said both nations are committed to advancing the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC), the Northern Sea Route and the Chennai–Vladivostok Maritime Corridor. These initiatives, combined with virtual trade corridors powered by digital technology, are expected to cut transit costs, simplify customs processes and expand market access for businesses across both countries.
